Architecture Photography Trinidad Colorado
Being a professional real estate media company, one of the perks of the job is that we travel to numerous of cities and towns in and out of the state of Colorado. When traveling to Trinidad we noticed the numerous of architectural historic buildings. These buildings gave us an incentive that we needed to start a personal project scouting commercial and historical architecture buildings in Trinidad. While exploring we decided to photograph some of the historic buildings that we found interesting in Trinidad.
If this is your first time visiting Trinidad Colorado, it is a small town located in southern Colorado, and it is home to a rich architectural history. The town’s buildings and structures reflect a range of architectural styles, from Victorian to Art Deco. First up is, Trinidad History Museum which is housed in the historic Bloom Mansion, a beautiful example of Victorian architecture. The mansion was built in the late 1800s and was home to some of Trinidad’s most prominent families. Today, the mansion serves as a significant landmark in the Trinidad community and is a must-see destination for history buffs and architecture enthusiasts alike.


Trinidad City Hall is a stunning example of Art Deco architecture. Built in the 1930s, this building features a grand entrance with a large clock tower and intricate stone carvings. The building is still in use today and serves as the city’s administrative center.


Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a beautiful example of Gothic Revival architecture. Built in the late 1800s, this church features intricate stone carvings and stained glass windows. According to church records, Don Felipe Baca owned the land and build the original structure. When Father Charles Pinto was pastor, some land donated to the church by Baca (the site occupied by the Schneider Brewing Co.) was sold and other money raising efforts, spanning a period of two years, were required before there was sufficient funds to build the existing church. The Chronicle-News is a newspaper that has been serving the Trinidad, Colorado area since 1877. In recent years, the newspaper has undergone some major changes, including the construction of a new building to house its operations.
